Founded in 2024 by Caitlyn Hudson and Peta Johansen, Magnify Her has quickly become one of the Northern Territory’s most exciting communities for women. In less than six months, it has brought together nearly 1,800 women, reached over 13,000 people across platforms, and created an unstoppable momentum that’s resonating far beyond the Territory.

Magnify Her is more than a business awards night it’s a values-driven society for women in business. At its core, it’s about amplifying ambition, fostering collaboration, and creating the kind of visibility women need to step into their next level of leadership.
Through recognition, networking, and shared celebration, Magnify Her is giving women in business the platform they’ve long deserved. It’s not just shining a spotlight, it’s magnifying their impact.
The Annual Gala & Awards Night: The jewel in the crown, hosted at venues like the Hilton Darwin, where women are celebrated on stage in front of their peers and community. It’s a night of recognition, glamour, and inspiration that leaves every attendee feeling seen, valued, and motivated.

While rooted in Darwin, Magnify Her’s vision extends far beyond. With plans to expand into global hubs like Dubai, it’s building an ecosystem where women’s voices, achievements, and leadership are amplified on the world stage.
This global ambition reflects something we at SKB know well: when women are empowered locally, they can, and will, create ripples of change globally.
Angelica Kopec, CEO of She Knows Business, has been a long-time mentor to Magnify Her co-founder Peta Johansen. Their collaboration has already taken them to international platforms from sharing time with world’s global leaders at the Forbes’ International Women’s Day Summit in Abu Dhabi to now both preparing to attend the Women’s Empowerment Conference in Dubai, where they will continue expanding their network with some of the world’s most powerful women leaders.
For too long, women’s contributions in business have gone under-recognised. Magnify Her is an important platform to change that.
By shining a spotlight on women who are leading, innovating, and inspiring, it not only boosts confidence but also creates pathways for collaboration and growth. Recognition isn’t vanity, it’s visibility. And visibility changes everything.

At She Knows Business Global Agency, we exist to help women-led businesses grow, scale, and step confidently into the spotlight. That’s why Magnify Her resonates so deeply with us.
We believe in collective progress, amplified ambition, and celebrating success loudly, the very same principles driving this movement. Magnify Her is building the kind of community that empowers women to own their impact, and we couldn’t be more aligned in championing that vision.

Peta Johansen

When Peta co-founded Magnify Her, it wasn’t just about creating another networking event, it was about rewriting the entire script on how women connect, collaborate, and grow.
“I knew that if women from all industries came together, we could share unique perspectives, elevate one another, and become pillars of strength while we grow. Business can often feel like a lonely push, a race to prove yourself, or a competitive arena. I wanted to create a space where women could come as they are, without having to ‘find’ themselves first, and simply be, in the right environment, surrounded by the right energy,” says Peta.
That vision became the heartbeat of Magnify Her, a space where ambition meets belonging, and where success is measured not just in revenue, but in relationships, confidence, and joy.
One moment in particular stands out for Peta:
“I remember hearing a woman say, ‘I just felt like I wasn’t cut out for this business.’ She attended one of our events and later shared that she had never been to a networking event before because she didn’t think she was ‘far enough along.’ After that night, she not only met lifelong connections but told us she finally felt like she belonged.”
This is the ripple effect Magnify Her is known for. It’s not about quick wins or transactional networking, it’s about creating meaningful, lasting impact.
“The impact has been extraordinary, not just in the women’s professional success, but in the way they light up about their businesses again. I’ve seen women go from running a small Darwin-based business to expanding into international markets. I’ve watched them meet someone they’ve admired for years, and within minutes, it feels like they’ve known each other forever. Time and time again, we hear the same words: ‘This feels like home.’ There’s no need to pitch yourself to be accepted, you’re welcomed and supported from the moment you walk in.”
Behind the scenes, She Knows Business founder, Angelica Kopec, has played a key role in keeping the Magnify Her vision clear and focused.
“When you have such a diverse platform with so many ideas, it’s easy to want to be everything to everyone. Angelica has helped us stay anchored to our north star. She’s guided us to streamline, amplify, and optimise, to stop working harder and start working smarter. If more businesses had this level of insight and operational clarity, they’d spend far less time trying to move faster and instead focus on moving with intention.”
Magnify Her is proving that when women gather with purpose, the results are transformational, not just for the women themselves, but for the industries and communities they influence.
Caitlyn Hudson

For Caitlyn, the seeds of Magnify Her were planted during a season of isolation.
“As a business owner, I felt alone in my journey, like I was building something in a vacuum. When I connected with Peta, it was a turning point. Together, we shared a vision of creating a space where women could be empowered not just in business, but in who they are as leaders, mothers, creatives, and change-makers.”
That shared vision became a mission to build an environment where women no longer have to choose between personal and professional growth, they get to experience both.
Some of Caitlyn’s most powerful reminders of why this work matters come in raw, emotional moments.
“It’s in the tears that women shed when they finally feel seen, the standing ovations at our events, and even the simple act of women holding hands in a circle. Those moments are proof that this mission is bigger than us, it’s about unlocking what’s been waiting inside them all along.”
The impact, she says, has been nothing short of transformative.
“We’ve seen women go from nervously clutching their business cards at their first event to confidently introducing themselves and speaking about their work with pride. Some have gone from running quiet, small-town businesses to stepping onto international stages. That growth is a direct result of the safe spaces we’ve created, spaces where they can practise courage, be celebrated, and expand their vision.”
Caitlyn remembers one moment that sums it all up perfectly:
“One woman arrived at her first event too nervous to introduce herself. By the end of the evening, she had made collaborations, signed new clients, and had the courage to publicly pitch her business for the first time. Stories like hers are what make our work so meaningful, they remind us that Magnify Her isn’t just an event, it’s a catalyst.”
And just like Peta, Caitlyn credits She Knows Business Global Agency founder & CEO, Angelica Kopec for helping to turn the vision into a well-oiled, scalable movement.
“Angelica’s reassurance, generosity, and wealth of knowledge have been instrumental in our growth. She has given us the clarity to connect our community with the right opportunities and has been a powerful funnel for ongoing development and success. We’re excited to continue this partnership as we scale the next phase of Magnify Her.”
Magnify Her is rewriting the story of women in business in Darwin and soon, across the globe. By celebrating achievement, fostering connection, and magnifying women’s voices, it is helping to create a stronger, more inclusive, and more empowered business landscape.
And at She Knows Business Global Agency, we’ll always be here to support, amplify, and celebrate women who are forging the next generation of success.
